A Magical Night in Paso Robles: Vine Street Victorian Christmas Showcase

by Tina Swithin, Travel Paso Robles Alliance

IndexAs you all know by now, I am smitten with Paso Robles.  They just don’t come any more charming than Paso!  There are so many events throughout the year that add to the appeal of this fabulous town.

One such event (and one of my personal favorites!) is the Vine Street Victorian Christmas Showcase.  This isn’t just another holiday event to add to your calendar, this is a must-do!  Grab your friends, your neighbors and your co-workers and create a new family tradition.

Mittens, scarves and hot cocoa are essential as you embark on 13 blocks of pure magic: Vine Street in Paso Robles.  Vine Street is temporarily closed down to allow people (15,000 plus to be exact!) to come together to celebrate the season, the community and the ambiance of the holidays in Paso Robles.  Walk up and down the street and experience the breathtaking beauty of restored Victorian homes fully decorated with twinkling lights, holiday scenes and decorations galore.  Festive doesn’t even begin to describe this experience.

Insider Tips: For many locals, the highlight of the evening is a visit to Scrooge’s House at the corner of and Vine. Join the hundreds of spectators who crowd around his yard and yell “Merry Christmas!” and “We love you, Scrooge!” and Ebeneezer will reward you with a colorful litany of responses.

Live music, community caroling, entertainment, free cookies and hot chocolate.  You know where to find me on Saturday night!  For more information, call 805-238-4103 or visit their website at pasoroblesdowntown.org
