The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are to visit California at the end of their trip to Canada in what will be the new bride’s first time to America.
On their first official tour together, the royal couple are expected to visit Los Angeles and take in a glimpse of Hollywood.
It is understood they will be welcomed by Arnold Schwarzenegger, the former Governor of California.
David and Victoria Beckham, who were among the guests at the royal couple’s wedding last Friday, are also believed to be involved in the visit.
The former England football captain and his popstar turned designer wife have lived in California for the last four years, while he plays for LA Galaxy.
Victoria Beckham is due to give birth to her fourth child in the summer, but she still hopes to play a part in the royal trip.
While the Duchess has never touched down on American soil, it will also be the first time her husband has visited the country in an official capacity.
Although St James’s Palace has yet to disclose a detailed itinerary, the couple may include other California destinations.
They will visit the west coast of the US from July 8 to July 10, following nine days in Canada.
